What You'll Be Doing
- Repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments
- Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble
- Lubricate machinery, change parts, or perform other routine machinery maintenance
- Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work
- Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems
What Are We Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Maintenance experience (or formal technical training), troubleshooting and repair
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Available to work flexible hours, days as well as an excess of 40 hrs. per week as needed
- Knowledge of mechanical moving parts (chains, bearings and rollers)
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
