Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Parts Supervisor to join our dairy manufacturing team. This role will oversee the management of parts inventory, ensuring that all equipment operates smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in inventory management, and a solid understanding of dairy manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring accurate tracking, timely reordering, and proper storage.
  • Procurement of Parts: Ordering & Receiving of parts, research parts, source parts, maintain equipment library.
  • Parts Coordination: Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to identify parts needs and prioritize orders based on production schedules.
  • Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all parts received meet quality standards and are suitable for use in dairy manufacturing equipment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of parts usage, inventory levels, and supplier information to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train parts staff, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting best practices in inventory management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline parts management processes and improve efficiency within the parts department.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols are followed in the parts storage and handling processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; associate degree in supply chain management, business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in parts supervision or inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or dairy environment.
  • Strong understanding of dairy manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
