We are looking for a talented Plant Manager and NA Operations Manager! This role will include two key roles: 1) Plant manager Farmington Hills Mi including offsite Warehouse in Novi. The Plant Manager's primary responsibilities include the daily management and coordination of plant operations while ensuring profitability of operations and compliance with all labor, safety, environmental and corporate polices and regulations. Takes complete ownership and accountability for overall plant operations with a desire to succeed. Through subordinates, supervisors and managers, assures employee engagement, safety, quality, customer service, continuous improvement, cost, and production objectives are met or exceeded. 2) Oversee all NA operations - at this time including new site in Saltillo Mx region. This role will ensure that standards are installed at all manufacturing sites aligned with JJE systems and manufacturing best practices. Major Responsibilities include: * Provide leadership to all aspects of the manufacturing operations * Assist with ensuring Mexico plant management is aligned with all KPI, methods, processes and procedures * Ensure all standard JJE practices are installed and followed including manufacturing principles * Facilitate, coach, counsel and guide the manufacturing work group to ensure they can deliver year over year results. * Educate, develop and motivate the manufacturing team to achieve required production results. * Establish goals and objectives and assures performance of such is met at the lowest cost and highest quality. * Strives for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes to ensure efficiencies and eliminate waste, and implement such plans through people, processes, procedures, and equipment. * Controls and minimizes labor overtime, freight, and repair expenses. * Meet financial objectives and goals by forecasting requirements and supporting the annual budget process. * Provides business leadership that demonstrates commitment to plant goals on a day-to-day basis. * Reviews all recommendations for special machinery, and works closely with engineering personnel regarding product and process improvement and new or existing product launches. * Works with Human Resources to determine plant policies consistent with organization or corporate policies and directs and supervises the application of such policies to the plant's organization. * Participates in long-range plant expansion, conversion, and equipment planning. * Oversees the maintenance of the building, equipment, and plant security and protection. * Authorized to initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities related to product, process, and quality system. * Ensures plant personnel adheres to company's safety program. * Ensures and oversees all EH&S and OSHA rules and regulations are in force. * Ensures effective interchange of information between all departments. * Creates an environment where all employees are encouraged and developed to reach the full potential in meeting the company's goals. * Performs other essential functions as assigned. Experience and Skills Requirements & Skills * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations. * 8+ years manufacturing experience in a General/Plant Manager capacity. * Preferred qualifications: Master's degree, Six Sigma, Green Belt or Black Belt certification. * Extensive knowledge of plant operations and procedures. * Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc. to drive improvement. * Previous experience/strong understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies. * Previous experience/strong understanding of budgeting, expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices. * Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needs. * Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills. * Strong interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of employee relations in a manufacturing setting. Language(s): * Proficient in English (required).
