Job Description
The Role:The Plant Manager is the leader responsible for safe and compliant execution of the production plan as per S&OP process and within budget guidelines. The leader continuously seeks ways to enhance lean manufacturing (balanced plant, technology), to reduce costs, and to improve process efficiencies. The leader has responsibility to maintain the site assets and to execute capital projects. The leader owns the Manufacturing and Engineering & Maintenance processes.
How You Will Make an Impact:Operations - Lead the site's activities in the areas of EHS, Quality, Production, Engineering, Logistics and Maintenance Services
- Adapt the organization, as well as staffing level and qualification, to meet demand, economical and safety requirements
- Ensure on time and in quality manufacturing of the required product quantities as per production schedule
- Manage operation within approved financial guidelines
- Ensure equipment availability and durability by driving an effective and efficient maintenance operation
- Execute approved capital projects on time and within cost
- Ensure timely availability of manufacturing information to allow effective execution of S&OP process
EHSQ - Ensure an inherently safe operation and overall EHSQ compliant manufacturing operation (e.g. Responsible Care, ISO 9001/14001, VPP, etc...)
Continuous Improvement - Drive continuous improvement of processes and operation for better productivity and efficiency
- Develop, adapt and validate a vision for the site's enhanced value generation within the corporate strategies and the regional strategy execution
Creating Extraordinary Starts With: - Bachelor's Degree in chemistry / Chemical
- 7 years in comparable chemical facility operations
- 3 years of significant staff and operations management responsibility in manufacturing
- Change management experience
