As a Plant Manager, you will provide operational management for the Powder Coatings production process for the business. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a strategic problem solver that has a history of continuous improvement and record of accomplishment of results. You will also contribute to the profitability of the business by coordinating each step of the production process to ensure customers' needs are met.You will be directly responsible for up to 6 team members and work an on-site role in the Gainesville, Texas Plant, while reporting to the Director of Regional Operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the manufacturing and delivery of quality coatings safely, on time, efficiently, and within PPG guidelines.Lead a clean, safe, cost-efficient production organization that is committed to a high level of first run capability and is responsive to changes in the marketplace.Evaluates equipment, facility, warehousing/distribution and process needs, and prepares capital authorizations to meet current and future needs.Provide production updates (WIP level, lead time and actions items) to support critical programs. Manage operations in compliance to monthly/weekly/daily goals; oversee daily operation to meet production schedules, quality standards, and targets.Develop and maintain, training and participative management, a work force that is experienced, motivated and committed to organizational objectives with effective utilization of staff.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering with Engineering or Chemistry preferred; and an advanced degree, such as MBA.10+ years of proven ability in Operations and Production Supervision.Kaizen & Capital project executionDetermination for action and an ability to create and implement initiatives to improve, providing examples of tangible results.#LI-ONSITEThe salary range for this role will be $150,000 - $180,000 and based on experience.PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
