Plant Manager
Our client is a fast-growing, family-owned company specializing in consumer packaging and food-related products. The company is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a Plant Manager.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all plant operations within a new facility, which has been operational for less than three years. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage a lean team, implement training, and ensure that production processes are optimized to meet the demands of large national accounts. This role requires a strong focus on high-speed filling and blending operations, with an emphasis on maintaining FDA regulations throughout the facility.

Focus:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring efficient and high-speed production of liquid and personal care products.
- Lead and train a production team of 100 employees across three shifts, ensuring adherence to FDA regulations and company standards.
- Manage maintenance and logistics operations, with an emphasis on incorporating these teams into the production process over time.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve plant efficiency, reduce downtime, and manage the challenges associated with rapid growth.
- Be a hands-on leader, capable of educating and organizing the team to create a streamlined and efficient production environment.
- Work closely with the executive team to align plant operations with company goals and objectives.
- Oversee production schedules, ensuring timely and accurate completion of high-volume orders for large national accounts
Skill Set:
- Proven experience in plant management, particularly in high-speed filling or contract manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of FDA regulations and experience in a food or personal care products manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a lean team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A hands-on, doer mentality with the ability to organize and educate the team effectively.
- Experience working in a single-plant location or as a junior manager in a larger corporation is preferred.
