PLANT MANAGER, KENNESAW GEORGIA THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our team as Plant Manager in Kennesaw, Georgia. Our newly commissioned production facility requires a motivated hands-on leader to oversee plant operations, processes and people. This role requires leadership by example to develop a culture of operational excellence to meet and exceed the needs of our globally branded customers. We're looking for an individual who has a strong manufacturing background with the drive and desire to develop new processes and create efficiencies within our growing operation. This individual will be required to embrace challenges with resilience and hold themselves and the plant accountable to meeting business needs. We are a proud and certified minority owned business. ROLE AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, scheduling, equipment and facilities maintenance, quality controls, safety, and other production-related activities
  • Plan, organize, direct and run day-to-day operations to meet manufacturing targets and organizational goals
  • Accountable for leading efforts to ensure facility compliance with respect to good manufacturing practices (GMP) and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) regulations
  • Identify reliability and production improvement opportunities, develop engineering solutions and champion the plan to implement solutions
  • Monitor and initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to product, process and quality systems. Investigate and identify root causes of any safety and regulatory non-compliance and production downtime to prevent reoccurrence of similar events
  • Mentor, train and lead cross-functional teams to ensure a strong and positive organizational culture with a focus on operational excellence. Provide active feedback, supervision and training to ensure our team puts their best foot forward everyday to maximizes performance outcomes.
  • Maintain necessary administrative records including project-based tracking and daily production reports.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment usage is optimized and preventative maintenance programs are adhered to.
  • Oversee inventory management including materials, consumables and supplies to maximize production uptime.
  • Monitor and evaluate costs to ensure financial optimization of the production facility while adhering to budgets and capital improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with senior leadership on the status of daily operations and projects.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Completion of a college or university program in engineering or business administration is required.
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing is required.
  • Attention to details, critical thinking and analysis, management of processes, people and materials.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies including lean and six sigma.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with change management.
  • Ability to work in a production environment with frequent standing.
  • This is an onsite position. You must live within a reasonable driving distance of the facility or be willing to relocate before start date.
