The Plant Manager will manage staff, ensure compliance with policies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety.
- Lead a team of supervisors and staff to achieve operational goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce costs.
- Ensure that products are manufactured to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Establish and maintain a safe working environment by enforcing compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and analyze production data to optimize processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage plant budgets, including forecasting and tracking operational costs.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as supply chain and engineering, to meet production targets.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the plant.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, with 3+ years in a plant management or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of production processes, lean manufacturing, and quality management systems.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse workforce.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting issues.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing plant budgets.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or a related discipline.
- Experience with managing continuous improvement initiatives and applying Kaizen principles.
