Position Overview:

The Plant Manager has full responsibility for overall plant operations, including plant results in safety, quality, on time delivery, efficiency, costs, environmental aspects of operations, adherence to all relevant permits and company policies. The Plant Manager maintains a highly capable workforce by managing the companys employee review process, relevant employee development activities, and succession planning for the site.

The Plant Manager position requires a broad range of skills including communication to all levels of the organization, leadership, decision making, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.

The Plant Manager reports to Cimarrons VP of Manufacturing and has a close working relationship with their peers at other Cimarron Plant operations, Cimarron Quality organization, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Safety, and Scheduling.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure the safety of all employees, contractors, and visitors to the plant site by actively supporting all safety policies and guidelines, and leading strong safety leadership and awareness in the plant.
  • Actively works to maintain appropriate levels of housekeeping and orderliness in the plant.
  • Ensure the plant is operated in a compliant and environmentally appropriate manner.
  • Administers company policies in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Oversee the manufacture of products in a safe and efficient manner, consistently meeting customer specifications and delivery expectations.
  • Meets plant goals with regard to costs and plant efficiency.
  • Drives continuous improvement in the plant by direct involvement, formation of teams, and involvement of other Cimarron resources to continually upgrade the efficiency, quality, and cost of the manufactured product.
  • Supports company performance review process. Maintains a plan for succession and seeks out opportunities for employee growth and development.
  • Interfaces effectively with peers and peer organizations Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Continuous Improvement, quality, scheduling, customer service, sales to achieve Cimarron goals and objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of plant leadership in a manufacturing environment
  • Capability and hands on experience in setting and execution of plant goals, delegation to others
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or masters degree from an accredited Institution
  • Experience in change management

  • Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps and use ladder up to 8 hours per day, occasionally up to 12 hours per day.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Vision to accurately read all related distribution documents and computer monitor screens.
  • Travel 25%

Position Criteria:

  • Experience in continuous improvement activities with hard measures of plant improvement and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable in leadership role on the plant floor
  • Effectively representing Cimarron Energy in community and professional settings
  • Possess excellent communication skills oral and written.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to multitask, establish priorities, delegate to others, and hold them accountable.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule that provides the appropriate level of direct involvement and leadership of a multi shift operation.
  • Results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and administrative skills, including computer proficiency.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends and off-shifts as needed.
