Manpower Professional is seeking an experienced Plant Manager with an Engineering Degree for a well-established manufacturer in Lesage, WV. The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects, including scheduling, employee relations, budgeting, safety objectives, and the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role will also involve driving process improvements, facilitating the commercialization of new products, and optimizing plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee production activities to ensure efficient product manufacturing and service delivery.
- Analyze financial statements, production reports, and performance data to assess productivity, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement program improvements.
- Manage staff, develop work schedules, and assign specific tasks.
- Direct and coordinate financial and budgeting efforts to support operations, maximize investment returns, and enhance efficiency.
- Develop and enforce departmental policies, goals, and procedures in collaboration with R-O Corporate Manufacturing, HR, and other key personnel.
- Determine staffing needs, and oversee recruitment, hiring, and training processes.
- Plan and lead initiatives, including promotional orders and new product launches, in coordination with department heads.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 13-15 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a Plant Manager role.
- Proven track record in people and team development.
- Strong communication skills with internal teams and external vendors/customers.
- Ability to quickly acquire and apply knowledge and innovative ideas.
- Demonstrated follow-through and proactive engagement.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
