Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all staff are trained in and adhere to plant safety, food safety, GMP, OSHA, and sanitation regulations.
- Leading the facility's Management Team and collaborating with all members to establish best practices.
- Being an active participant on the Food Safety Team, staying current with food safety training.
- Playing a key role in facility audits.
- Driving continuous improvement through identifying and implementing improvements to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, cost, and morale.
- Developing and managing a 5-year capital budget for the facility, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Creating and overseeing an annual operating budget to control labor, manufacturing, and variance costs.
- Improving the facility's performance across the four key manufacturing metrics: Yield, Line Efficiency, Labor Efficiency, and Spending.
- Enforcing high safety standards, conducting audits, and ensuring proper use of PPE. Continuously improving the Find-It, Fix-It Program (FIFI).
- Supervising and motivating personnel, assigning tasks, and providing coaching where needed.
- Prioritizing, scheduling, and delegating work to meet production goals while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
- Leading cross-functional teams to resolve facility challenges and boost productivity. Hosting monthly Town Hall meetings to update the plant team on key developments.
