Hood Packaging Corporation a world leader in the packaging industry is looking for a Plant Manager to join our team in our Summerville, SC facility. The Plant Manager will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the Summerville Plant operations in the form of process improvement, cost reduction, safety enhancement, and efficiency. Functional Responsibilities
- Supervising employees - training, quality, safety, production, orders, resolving issues
- Communication and direction for Shift Supervisor, leads and all associates
- Communication with Maintenance regarding equipment, PM and repairs
- Manufacturing concerns-productivity, quality, waste control, staffing
- Responding to customer requirements-resolution of problems/issues that compromise profits/sales
- Resolution and avoidance of labor issues/problems, regulatory issues, conflict and other problems
- Administrative issues and concerns
- Planning, directing and control of other areas, projects and unexpected/unplanned circumstances
- Procurement of resins, packaging materials, tape, thread, spare parts, and repair and maintenance items for the entire plant.
Education & Experience
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED and 10 years' experience in a multi wall bag manufacturing facility with proven progression to higher positions
- Bachelor's (4) year degree and (5) years' experience in manufacturing supervision with proven track record of successful performance.
