Our client is seeking a Plant Manager for their manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be a member of the company's senior leadership team and be responsible for achieving company safety, environmental, quality, production, delivery, maintenance, cost, and customer satisfaction objectives.The ideal candidate should be passionate about leadership, team building, employee engagement, and continuous improvement, is results focused, and driven to achieve operational excellence.You will be leading a group of about 175 team members at this facility. They need someone who can lead by example in complying with all internal and external safety and environmental regulations, policies, procedures, and systems; promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and employee engagement.You will need to show that you can foster a positive, respectful work environment and management philosophy that is aligned with the values and principles outlined in the Code of Business Conduct; set expectation for compliance with the Code and other policies and procedures.You will be responsible for effectively planning, directing, and coordinating all activities related to safety, environmental, quality, production, delivery, and maintenance to ensure that company goals are achieved, and customer commitments are met; drive for results and success and inspire a sense of urgency in responding to issues.You will need to prove you can develop and manage operational and capital budget; monitor and hold team accountable for production costs and operational expenses, as well as implementing cost containment strategies and report the progress to company executives.You will direct and manage Operations staff on all personnel matters, including hiring, retention, development, and performance management. This is a union shop so you must assure adherence to the labor agreement and maintain positive labor relations.Some other responsibilities will be:- Be accountable for raw material and finished goods inventory management.- Provide oversight for equipment utilization and operationally focused capital projects.- Challenge the status quo and champion employee engagement in continuous improvement initiatives, institute Lean manufacturing concepts.- Establish, implement, and revise policies and procedures relating to manufacturing operations.- You will report to the company president but work daily across all support functions to optimize human, material, equipment and financial resources.Base is $130 - $150k + Discretionary bonus based on company and personal performance 401k with match, retirement plan, great benefits plan including relocation with temporary housing.
