Your primary duties and responsibilities will be:
* Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and promote a safe working environment.
* Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Collaborate with safety leadership to organize training programs on safety protocols.
* Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the wood production team.
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the wood composite decking manufacturing plant.
* Collaborate with planning group to execute production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resources.
* Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
* Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
* Collaborate with planning group to manage inventory levels to meet production requirements and minimize waste.
* Lead and motivate plant personnel to achieve production targets and quality goals.
* Provide coaching and development opportunities to plant staff to enhance their skills and performance.
* Collaborate with other departments such as sales, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
* Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
* Manage plant budget and expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.
* Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Required Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
* 15-20+ years professional experience with 7+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership.
* Demonstrated success in same or similar role, with a focus on managing personnel and processes. Siding, Composite, and/or plastics processing experience, preferred.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control principles.
* Experience & background developing and driving lean culture and methodologies in a manufacturing environment.
* Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to effectively manage a diverse team and foster a positive work environment.
* Solid problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience with production planning, inventory management, and budgeting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software.
* Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on optimizing processes and driving efficiencies.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The annual salary for this position ranges from $130,000 in our lowest market up to $170,000 in our highest market, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. The pay for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
