Summary:

Dometic Marine's facility in Pompano Beach, FL manufactures heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems for sport fishing, pleasure boats, and commercial markets.

We are seeking an initiative-taking and experienced Operations Professional to oversee the day-to-day activities of our marine air-conditioning manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with a focus on improving safety, efficiency, productivity, and quality control in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Operations in developing and implementing operations strategies and processes.
• Oversee the production workflow to ensure that manufacturing processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, implementing improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, change management, or shipping.
• Manage and lead a team of supervisors, managers, and workers, providing training and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance production capabilities.
• Prepare and manage operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in an operational leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferable in the HVAC/R industry.
• Experience in High-Mix Low-Volume Manufacturing (HMLV).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in the use and understanding of ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
