About Our ClientOur client is a paper/packaging manufacturer near the Illinois/Wisconsin border partnered with name brand retail and fast food companies to manufacture their solutions at a greater capacity. This role will be taking on all plant management responsibilities including the engineering team
Job DescriptionKey duties and responsibilities will include:
- Managing 6 direct reports, and over 100+ indirect reports
- Handling P&L responsibilities, be an active part of the leadership strategy team
- Utilizing your background in paper and packaging manufacturing to troubleshoot production issues on the floor
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives, seeking ways to be more efficient and optimize cost savings opportunities
- Hand's On Role - lead by example
- Identify production problems and present creative solutions to Ownership
- Troubleshooting machinery programming - do not need to be an expert.
- Communicating with customers and regularly perform DFMA

The Successful ApplicantThe successful applicant will possess the following:
- 7+ years experience in a packaging environment
- 5+ Years of leadership experience (over 100+ indirect reports highly preferred)
- Experience in being in smaller and larger plants or being a part of leading a smaller plant and growing to a larger one
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree a large plus
- Hands on mentality
- Experience with DFMA strongly preferred
