Site Manager – Specialty Chemicals – Greater Houston

Job Scope

The Site Manager role is a key leadership position for our client, delivering safe and reliable plant performance and high-quality products - efficiently at a competitive cost position. The Site Manager is accountable for delivery of site and business objectives, working collaboratively through cross functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Assures that all site operations are in strict compliance with all local, State, and Federal EHS regulations, as well as assured strong execution of critical work processes at site including Safety (permit to work, LOTO, working at heights), process safety (management of change, mechanical integrity), maintenance execution, and reliability.

Spends time on site daily setting high expectations, ensuring those expectations are being met, taking corrective actions immediately as needed, and developing a performance culture on site which strives to achieve and routinely meets key milestones.

Promotes corporate image by participation in community and public affairs.

Makes a high priority to attract top talent to the organization, including talent development processes.

Develops and maintains an effective system to report and discuss performance against established objectives.

Develops a site strategy to accomplish long term business, site, and company objectives.

Manages third party relationships and monitors contract compliance with critical third parties.

Directly accountable for the development of the annual budget.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

8+ years of related experience in chemical or petroleum industry required.

Skills and knowledge

Must display a high degree of integrity, trust, and competence and be willing to accept positive change, excel at conflict management.

Must possess a strong working knowledge of Process Safety (PSM).

Must be able to assess future production requirements and develop short and long-term plans to make production changes.

Must have a general knowledge of all aspects of management and be able to assimilate a large quantity of data in the decision-making process.
