The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production, maintaining safety standards, and leading a skilled team to meet production goals. This role requires a strong background in steel fabrication and manufacturing management. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the steel fabrication plant, ensuring production goals are met on time and within budget.
- Manage a team of supervisors, fabricators, and support staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor production schedules and workflow, making adjustments as necessary to meet client demands.
- Manage plant resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain quality control standards, ensuring the highest quality of fabricated steel products.
- Work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans for plant growth and improvement.
- Monitor plant budget and control costs, identifying opportunities for cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in plant or shop management, preferably in structural steel fabrication or related manufacturing fields.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, equipment, and safety standards.
- Proven experience in team leadership, operations management, and process optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
