Job Title: Plant Operator

Location: Madison, WI

Duration: 4-6 Months

Rate: $50/hr

Per Diem: available

Hours: 40+ hours per week with some overtime

Job Summary:

The Plant Operator monitors plant systems, controls routine operations, and responds to alarms and abnormal conditions by following directives from the Control Room Operator. Responsibilities include executing plant startup and shutdown procedures, performing basic maintenance tasks, and ensuring safe, efficient plant operations. The role is key in supporting the plant's generating needs while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor gas turbines and auxiliary systems.
• Perform start-up, shut-down, and routine operations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues; replace components as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Ensure safety compliance; participate in drills and safety inspections.
• Maintain logs of performance, maintenance, and incidents.
• Communicate with teams for seamless operations and report operational status.

Required Experience:

• Strong understanding of gas turbine systems and maintenance.
• Proficient in diagnostic tools and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance.
• Problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
