Plant operator will be responsible for all technical aspects of plant operations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operates brine treatment equipment at the facility
- Perform truck loading and unloading activities
- Accurately recording data in the database
- Monitors control panel and adjusts valves and gates to regulate flow.
- Observes variation in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge reading and test results to determine load requirements
- Starts and stops pumps, engines, and generators to control flow of brine through filtering, settling, aeration, and sludge digestion processes
- Collect sample to be tested in the laboratory
- Help maintain records for regulatory agencies
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment
- Perform daily checks of wastewater treatment process and periodic checks of pumps
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Have a working knowledge of the operation, methods and procedures of a water treatment plant
- Computer literacy
- Minimum two years related experience
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
