The operation produces various industrial gases, which supply a critical client in the great region. The facility runs 365 days/year to support its large and diverse customer base.Plant Operator Techs work as a team to run the plant, perform routine maintenance and control the efficiency and quality of the plant during their shift. Each Shift Team is led by a Senior Operator. They foster a strong culture of teamwork and empowerment. - Operate and maintain plant systems and equipment in a process technology plant operating 24x7- Work involves monitoring and maintenance of continuous controls process in the control room and plant environment. Their mechanical systems and control panels are very similar to those found on a ship, so Navy shipboard engineering techs have historically fast-tracked through the training and qualification program.But other mechanical and electro-mechanical Techs had done very well also. The company has had a military hiring program since the 1970s. They value your training, your culture of teamwork, and your commitment to getting the job done...and done right.This is a rotational shift that will give you a full week off at the end of each rotation. Based on the schedule, you will always receive 8 hours of overtime, and possibly more depending on the work schedule requirements. Pay progresses as you advance through training and qualifying on each system in the plant to Senior Operator. From there, the best advance to Supervisor over Operations and Maintenance and then on to Plant Manager.$33.88/hr. + overtime.
