Your Mission
As a Plant Quality Engineer, you will be the quality champion for our plant's production lines, ensuring the highest quality standards and customer satisfaction. You will represent both Forvia and our external customers, working with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and uphold our commitment to quality. You'll ensure the application of critical quality tools and methodologies, including FMEA, PPAP, MSA, APQP, and problem-solving techniques like 8D, all while promoting Faurecia's 8 Quality Basics (8QB).
Key Responsibilities
- Customer & Quality Representation: Act as the voice of the customer within the plant, ensuring that production lines meet both internal and external quality requirements.
- Quality Documentation: Maintain and update quality documentation for assigned production lines, ensuring consistency across PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions.
- Training & Coaching: Lead quality coaching and training for Quality Technicians, operators, and supervisors on Faurecia's quality principles and customer-specific requirements.
- Complaint Management: Take charge of both internal and external customer complaints, utilizing effective problem-solving techniques (8D) to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Audit & Compliance: Conduct internal quality audits, support external audits, and ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
- Process Stability: Implement quality tools such as Poka-Yoke, gage studies, capability studies, and process stability techniques to ensure process control and operator qualification.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to improve production quality through innovative solutions, process optimization, and the sharing of best practices across the organization.
- Program Quality Support: Collaborate with the Program Quality Leader to submit PPAP documentation for new programs and engineering changes.
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a quality role within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive, with hands-on experience in quality system methodologies like 8D, FMEA, SPC, and APQP.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Alternatively, a technician with equivalent experience is also welcome.
- Certification: Preferred certifications in ISO 9001/IATF 16949, VDA, and core tools such as PPAP, MSA, FMEA, APQP, SPC.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills (e.g., Minitab, MS Office). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to analyze data and present facts effectively.

- Leadership: Proven ability to manage complexity, navigate ambiguity, and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver high-quality results.
