Job Purpose

This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Lead Engine Quality teams for the Anna Engine plant which includes frame customer associates, internal component team, and market quality activity. Responsible for overall team performance related to containment and repair activity, customer interaction and satisfaction, stop-ship judgements, quality trend analysis, and countermeasure improvements. Support Quality Department Leaders in developing and completing business plan action items at the plant and dept level. Responsible for identifying and reporting (internal KPI) top quality issues on a daily, and monthly report.

Key Accountabilities
  • Daily Unit results - report and drive focus if gaps exist
  • Advise on complex containment/repair situations within Plant / customer facilities
  • Monitor and advise on plant quality issues and promote action to resolve
  • Monthly Unit results - role up and present to Dept Leadership
  • Interface with customer plant mgmt to assure satisfaction in product and activity
  • Team development and PDCA for team and quality activity
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience (based on education) in NM, Product Engineering or Quality Role
  • Product manufacturing knowledge and engineering principles as it relates to new model, safety, quality, and delivery
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high-impact communication skills, project management skills
  • Ability to develop strategies and initiatives at Plant level
  • Ability to present to varying audiences, conduct in-depth technical analysis, lead and prioritize multiple projects, work in a team environment.
  • Ability to mentor and develop associates
Workstyle
  • 50+ hours per week.
  • Travel domestic and international to other Honda Plants
