This role is on 2nd shift which typically works from 3:30pm until 12:00am.

This position works out of our Sturgis, MI location in the Abbott Nutrition division. What You'll Work On

The Stockroom Clerk will work with all areas of the plant to maintain maintenance, repair, and operational supplies for plant operation. Stockroom clerks use Maximo software and ERP software in order to maintain accurate inventory levels. Stockroom clerks utilize their time by receiving items into stock, put-away of received items, cycle counting, and helping employees locate spare parts in the stockroom.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for maintaining parts inventory in Maximo which includes issues, returns, and adjustments.

  • Daily receipt of items into inventory through computer software.

  • Checks shipments and contacts suppliers for accuracy and investigates receipt discrepancies for stock items.

  • Put away of shipments into proper stock locations in the stockroom and offsite locations.

  • Performs cycle counting to maintain the accuracy of stock items.

  • Works with Engineering and Maintenance to set up new items in spare part inventory.

  • Assists in removing parts from inventory as needed.

  • Prepare parts for preventive maintenance activities

You'll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Analytical problem-solving skills

  • Computer literate: data entry, familiarity with computer applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, and willing to learn other software

  • Time management skills

  • Able to perform a varied number of duties with high levels of interruptions

  • Excellent interpersonal skills as this role interacts with all levels of employees

  • Ability to make timely, fact-based decisions on inventory issues

The base pay for this position is $16.55 – $33.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
