Job Description:

Plant Supervisor hiring for start-up facility. Will be responsible for managing employees, following quality standards, overseeing the operation, and ensuring company processes and procedures are followed.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • 3-5 years previous experience in food manufacturing managing processes and people
  • Computer skills
  • Must be able to train in a different location for 2-3 months (TX and IL).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitors company's compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards Notify Plant Manager of non-compliant practices.
  • On a daily basis, manage, maintain, and implement company Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)
  • Manage, maintain, and implement Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) program Coordinate corrective action with the Inspection Line Leads. Communicate corrective action taken and document.
  • Review inspection reports for quality and conformance to companys procedures
  • Review inspection line seeds logs for quality and conformance to companys procedures.
  • Monitor secure storage of site approved cleaning products. Ensure that MSD sheets are posted for each approved product.
  • Implement a cleaning and facility maintenance schedule for the warehouse including

equipment, forklift, trailers, yard mule, ceiling, and fixtures, pest control, etc.

  • Conduct SSOP and GMP New Hire and Annual Training for: Operators, Line Leads, and Forklift Operators. Maintain training forms and logs.
  • Fill-in on the inspection line as needed.
  • Responsible for creating Master Folder and Project Folder once truck i scheduled/arrives to our facilities.
  • Coordinates with Warehouse Admin to monitor a projects progress and make sure it i handled properly.
  • Plans, schedules, and monitors all work being performed.
  • Provides immediate performance feedback as required to resolve employee conflicts and assists in short-term resolution of emergency situations such as safety, attendance and conduct.
  • Makes sure outbound products are acceptable for shipping.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years proven experience as production supervisor (Food industry) preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of a regulated manufacturing environment GMP
  • Good communication skills coupled with good negotiation, planning, scheduling and people management ability.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge with 5s methodology.
