The City of Lincoln Council have an exciting opportunity for a Plasterer to join our team.
You will be part of the Housing Repairs Team, who are responsible for repairing and maintaining 7,800 properties throughout Lincoln. We pride ourselves on providing quality housing and repairs for our tenants.
We are looking for a friendly and approachable candidate who will underpin our core values to provide excellent customer care to the residents of Lincoln.
We work on a grading approach depending on experience with opportunities for training and development.
The role will be full time (37hrs per week Mon-Fri) and fixed term until February 2026. Standby and overtime opportunities are also available.
Candidates must have a full driving licence.
Key responsibilities:
* Carry out all installations, repairs and maintenance work required by the Authority and all other Plastering duties.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* Ability to problem solve to achieve an effective right first-time repair.
* Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and customers.
* Ability to make decisions on how to carry out an effective repair or renew.
* Experience of being responsible for business vehicles and equipment.
* Ability to work at heights, outdoors and in all weathers.
* NVQ 2 in Plastering or time served apprenticeship or proven experience.
