Job Description Plastic Extrusion Operator We are seeking a skilled Plastic Extrusion Operator to join our growing team. The Plastic Extrusion Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion equipment to produce high-quality plastic products that meet the specifications of our clients. As the Plastic Extrusion Operator, you will also monitor and ensure safety, environmental responsibility, quality control, and continuous improvement standards are met. Job Type: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift available, On-site Responsibilities for the Plastic Extrusion Operator:
- Set up and operate extrusion equipment according to standard operating procedures
- Monitor the extrusion process to ensure that the products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to ensure the quality of the finished product
- Maintain 80% efficiency through increased uptime, decreased quality rejects, and timely escalation of issues requiring additional resources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the extrusion equipment
- Increased productivity output by working with a sense of urgency, escalating as required if resources are not readily available when issues arise.
- Ensure that all safety procedures are followed and that the work area is kept clean and organized
- Work closely with other members of the production team to meet production goals and deadlines
Requirements of the Plastic Extrusion Operator:
- Minimum 3-5+ years of Plastic Extrusion Operating experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating plastic extrusion equipment is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective listening, and problem-solving skills
