Platform Engineer
Optomi, in partnership with a leader within the entertainment, is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer! The right candidate will have 4-5 years of experience deploying and managing complex POS systems, ideally Oracle Simphony or similar technologies such as NCR Aloha, Toast, etc. Also, this individual will have expertise in CI/CD (Azure DevOps), PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. They will Oversee the deployment of Simphony POS systems across various locations, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets!

Experience of the right candidate:
- 4-5 years of experience deploying and managing complex POS systems, ideally Oracle Simphony or similar technologies such as NCR Aloha, Toast, etc.
- Must have experience doing multiple deployments
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Simphony POS, including configuration, integration, and customization. If the background is in a different Food and Bev POS platforms, must be very knowledgeable.
- Expertise in CI/CD (Azure DevOps), PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. Any CI/CD is preferred.
- Experience with SQL and Oracle databases for data analysis and query management.
- Familiarity with PCI compliance and security best practices for POS systems.
- Experience with Oracle Hospitality products (e.g., Property Management System, Oracle Database Platform).
- Experience with POS hardware (terminals, printers, card readers, etc.) and configuration of peripheral devices.
- Familiarity with Windows OS, .NET application platforms, and Microsoft IIS.
- Experience with API integrations and middleware solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud-based systems, DevOps practices, and deployment automation.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Oversee the deployment of Simphony POS systems across various locations, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design effective deployment strategies.
- Manage and resolve incidents quickly in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Monitor the performance and reliability of the Simphony POS system, implementing updates and enhancements as needed.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operations.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on the effective use of the Simphony POS system.
- Create user manuals and documentation to support ongoing training and system use.
- Work closely with IT, Operations, and other departments to align business objectives with technology solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Simphony POS-related inquiries and issues.
