Eaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Plating Operator. The core hours are 4:00 am to 12:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $21.71 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you'll do:The Plating Operator will operate, make adjustments, and maintain production quality to perform close tolerance operations.Operate the equipment to insure environmental compliance with all applicable regulatory statutes while working in a safe and productive manner.Perform duties including: cleaning equipment such as probes, clarifier, sand filters, pickle filter and mefiag; performing chemical titration and system performance tests to assure compliance of discharged wastewater, identifying and responding to paint and plate system abnormalities in a timely manner, taking necessary corrective action; maintaining accurate records such as Zinc level, operational logs and chemical usage. Maintain and follow all safety regulations associated and ensure compliance by production employees. Lead and communicate a Zero Incident Safety Culture.Perform necessary titration tests and necessary chemicals to the plating bath to assure proper plating thickness. - Transfer all necessary chemicals to waste water treatment facility.Transfer all necessary chemicals to waste water treatment facility.Calibrate all equipment necessary for the proper operation of the paint and plate system; complete training programs when required: operate automated sampling collection equipment and use the required preservation techniques.Perform various cleaning duties on equipment and wastewater facility including the lab.Operate the plating hoist in an efficient manner to assure proper loading and unloading of parts through the plating system.Monitor plating equipment such as rectifiers, plating barrels and plating tanks; troubleshoot abnormalities as they occur.Perform and maintain various recordkeeping duties and recording instrumentsPerform other duties as assigned throughout the facility.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:Must have a minimum of six months of continuous manufacturing experience.Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the futureNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Amarillo Texas will be considered.
