Town of Cohasset Playground Program CounselorsSeasonal PositionGain valuable experience, be a positive role model, and give back to the community while having fun this summer. Soak up the sun and take part in exciting summer activities!Pay range: Starting at $17.63Location: The town of Cohasset is seeking program counselors for the summer program with the recreation department. This position reports to the summer program director and the recreation director.Description of responsibilities:Program Counselors: Counselors for the full-day programs must be at least 17. Counselors for the half-day programs must be at least 16 years of age. Previous experience working with children is highly recommended. The primary responsibility of all the staff is to supervise and lead children aged 5-9 through the Playground program. Additional duties include supporting the director and coordinators, participating in training sessions, maintaining records such as weekly attendance and accident reports, and ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility and grounds. Staff will also enforce Recreation Department rules and policies related to the program and deliver exceptional customer service to both patrons and fellow staff members.We are dedicated to building a diverse and committed team with a positive group dynamic, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for the children in our program. CPR classes will be provided to staff at no cost.2025 Summer Program Dates:Monday, June 30 through Friday, August 8th.Session 1 - June 30th through July 18th (no 4th of July) - Mon-FriSession 2 - July 21 through August 8 - Mon-FriOrientation - Mandatory - week of June 23rdCandidates must be available for orientation and cover a full session.
