Join our vibrant team and be part of something extraordinary! About the Role:Were on the hunt for a dynamic PLC/SCADA Programmer to join the hive on behalf of our clients. In this role, you'll take ownership of developing resources for Ignition Perspective and Vision applications, utilizing your expertise in SCADA, PLCs, Modbus, and BACnet. If you're passionate about industrial automation and have a proven track record of success in SCADA development, we want to meet you! Your Mission:
- SCADA Development:
- Work with customer business stakeholders to define the scope and requirements of the Ignition solution based on identified process improvement scenarios.
- Develop proprietary software tools for product development, commissioning, and research and development.
- Develop the Ignition solution for industrial and HVAC applications, including system networks, Perspective and Vision user interfaces, report creation, alarm configuration, and interaction with SQL data sources.
- Programming and Scripting:
- Utilize CSS, Python, and Python-based scripting to enhance system functionality.
- Conduct pre- and post-project documentation, testing, deployment, and associated application support.
- Project Leadership:
- Apply your experience across various industries and manufacturing processes as part of a project team.
- Provide guidance and leadership to less experienced team members.
- Position requires travel (up to 30%) to customer sites for requirement gathering, deployment, and post-deployment support activities.
Core Competencies:
- SCADA and PLC Integration:
- Proficient in developing Ignition Perspective and Vision applications.
- Experience integrating Ignition with PLCs, Modbus, and BACnet for control and reporting.
- Programming Skills:
- Expertise in Python development, including Ignitions Expression Language.
- Good understanding of SQL databases and IT networks.
- Project Leadership:
- Ability to independently initiate and execute Ignition projects.
- Strong communication skills for requirement gathering and project deployment.
What You Bring:
- Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA Core Certification (Gold Certification a plus).
- Experience in Perspective and Vision development.
- Understanding of BAS controls and process plant controls in different environments.
- Ability to read electrical, process control drawings, and P&IDs.
- Functional understanding of mechanical systems.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, Microsoft SQL Server, or MariaDB.
- Good understanding of IT networks, including controller communication protocols and Gateway networking.

Education:
