Description: Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Plumber-Apprentice in the Facilities Management Department. The appointee will report directly to the Plumbing Supervisor and will assist in facility repairs throughout the district.Qualifications: The appointee must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. The appointee must have a valid Texas drivers license and meet eligibility requirements to operate a District vehicle.Preference will be given to applicants who:
- possess a general knowledge of plumbing replacement parts and materials.
- exhibit the ability to work with hand tools.
- possess a general understanding of the maintenance of plumbing related fixtures and equipment.
- have at least one (1) year experience in plumbing or related trade.
- demonstrate effective communication, public relations and interpersonal skills.
- have a service oriented personality.
