Location: Gonzales,LA, USA
The Licensed Plumber inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains plumbing fixtures in heating, water and drainage systems. Identifies electrical, plumbing and safety problems applicable to the installation and takes necessary corrective action. Performs necessary clerical duties for the job and is able to read blueprints. The position relies on guidelines and some experience and judgment to complete job and works under general supervision.
1. Preventative Maintenance & Repair
a. Must be able to open stopped up drains using the proper field equipment.
b. As directed - performs plumbing repairs as needed.
c. Maintains all plumbing fixtures, pipes, fittings, and med. gas systems in the hospital in accordance with original state of condition.
d. Installs pipes, fittings, valves where necessary on all plumbing and med. gas systems throughout the hospital.
e. Reasonably completes all duties scheduled during this workday without interference to the quality of work.
f. Must be able to collect the correct information so that shutdowns & interruptions to the med. gas systems are performed correctly to all med. gas standards.
2. Productivity
a. Prices new construction projects for plumbing costs.
b. Coordinates necessary changes in planned schedule as required.
c. Demonstrates a complete understanding of accepted plumbing and maintenance methods.
d. Demonstrates an ability to assess maintenance needs and choose appropriate course of action.

4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Training
Plumbing Apprenticeship or Vo Tech school
Licensure
Current Louisiana Plumbing License
