ICOR Associates, LLC is seeking a Plumbing and Fire Protection Project Engineer
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design who is interested in career development opportunities. Work will require independent problem solving, decision making, and the implementation of standard engineering procedures to direct the flow of engineering work. Responsibilities
- Work directly with a Project Manager to aid in managing the plumbing and fire protection design process from project inception through construction.
- Prepare plans and specifications, including completing plumbing and fire protection analysis.
- Design plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Attend meetings with the Architect, Client, and project consultants.
- Coordinate plumbing and fire protection systems with design team members.
- Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFI's.
- Provide input to the project manager regarding project planning and scheduling.
- Keep clear records of all design decisions, calculations, and project-related documentation.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
- Certification in plumbing and fire protection design a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Extensive knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices
- Comprehensive knowledge of standard construction practices.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit a plus
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Professional Engineer's (PE) license preferred
