  • As a Plumbing Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our construction and project management processes.
  • The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze project specifications, gather necessary data, and produce accurate cost estimates.
  • You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that our estimates align with project goals and financial objectives.
  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to understand the scope of work.
  • Conduct on-site visits to gather information about project conditions and constraints.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Utilize cost databases, historical data, and industry benchmarks to enhance accuracy.
  • Develop comprehensive bid proposals outlining the scope of work, cost breakdown, and any necessary qualifications.
  • Collaborate with the bid team to ensure all aspects of the proposal align with project requirements.
  • Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
  • Identify and assess potential risks that may impact project costs.
  • Propose risk mitigation strategies to ensure the financial success of projects.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to refine project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure all team members are aligned on cost estimates and project goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in estimating, preferably within the plumbing or construction industry.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
