As a Plumbing Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing plumbing crews on various job sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining excellent customer service.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Project Management: Oversee all aspects of plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance for residential and commercial projects. Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor plumbing crew members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on skill and experience.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure all work meets company standards, local building codes, and safety regulations. Identify and address any issues promptly to maintain quality control.
- Material Management: Order and manage inventory of plumbing materials, tools, and equipment. Ensure all necessary materials are available on-site and used efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce all safety policies and procedures on the job site. Conduct safety meetings and ensure all team members use proper protective equipment and follow safe work practices.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on job sites. Communicate project progress, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work completed, materials used, and any incidents or delays. Submit daily reports to project managers or other stakeholders as required.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during the project, coordinating with project managers, clients, and subcontractors as needed.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the plumbing industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, installation techniques, and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications: Valid plumbing license or certification as required by local jurisdiction. OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to make decisions quickly and effectively under pressure.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods. Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation to travel to various job sites.
