Significant experience in plumbing or equivalent training, education and/or licensure.

Job Summary

Schedules work, supervises, requisitions material, monitors work requests, prepares estimates and performs plumbing services to university facilities including maintenance, construction and renovations. Directs, inspects and coordinates plumbing repairs and installations performed by university and contracted crews.

Required Qualifications

Knowledge of commercial, industrial and residential plumbing/mechanical trades; ability to organize and prioritize assignments; ability to communicate using varied communication methods; knowledge of plumbing tools and equipment related to construction and maintenance practices. Ability to operate and work from aerial lifts. Experience with steam heating systems, RPZ's and fire suppression systems is required. Ability to recognize and correct unsafe work conditions, ability to use basic computer technology and operating systems. Experience supervising employees and contract crews, maintenance, contractual services, basic computer skills, and construction. Must be licensed by DPOR as a Plumber.

Additional Considerations

DPOR Master's license. Must be licensed by DPOR as a Plumber. Previous experience in a Higher Education Facility.

Hiring Range Minimum Salary: $54,330, negotiable based on experience.
