Job Title: PODS Contractor Pipeline AsBuilting GatekeeperType: ContractLocation: Houston, TX - HybridExperience: 5 yearsResponsible for the accuracy of data entered into the Pipeline Open Database Standard (PODS) Spatialgeodatabase, along with continually monitoring the integrity of the PODS Spatial geodatabase andmaking necessary database corrections to existing data.Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe PODS Pipeline AsBuilting responsibilities are inclusive of the following tasks:•Utilize Data Maintenance applications to create, edit and review data entered into a workingdatabase from multiple sources:o Data completeness, accuracy, and compliance with PODS and company documenteddata workflow procedures are all critical responsibilities of this roleo The data research will include reviewing source documents such as field notes,alignment sheets, detail drawings, survey data, pressure test reports, materialpurchasing and mill test records, ILI feature listings and various other document typeso Data consistency checks are also to be made using custom applications and SQL queriesprior to loading working data records into the production database•Work at the direction of Team Leads and Direct Supervisor•Follow all PODS related procedures and technical guides for maintaining the work scopeRequirements•Qualified individual will need to have at least 5 years of experience performing pipeline as-builtwork, either as a CAD Drafter or maintaining pipeline databases, such as PODS, UPDM, ISAT, orAPDM data models•Although a Bachelors level degree is preferred, will also consider an Associate's degree and/orqualifying experience in-lieu-of the BS degree•Skills / Qualifications:o Prior pipeline and/or facility as-built experience required (5 year minimum)o Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS software at a minimum, preferred to have a strong domain ofexperience working with ESRI ArcGIS software and within an enterprise GISo Experience working with PODS, ISAT, APDM or other types of pipeline data modelso Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS-Excel, MS-Access, &MS-Wordo Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with all levels of management aswell as employees in corporate and field officeso The individual must be self-motivated and willing to learn new and changingtechnologieso Ability to organize and prioritize daily work to meet schedules and objectiveso Ability to be productive with minimal supervisiono Effective communication skills, both oral and written•Soft Skills:o Able to work within a team, take direction from supervisor, adhere to required workschedules, focus attention on details and follow work ruleso Utilize effective teamwork skills to achieve project goals, solve problems and manageconflicto Ability to successfully work remotely for the initial duration of this contract position
