The selected candidates will be responsible for tasks such as but not limited to:* Receives and vouchers personal property.* Reports to the desk officer any unusual physical condition of prisoners in custody, or in the detentionarea.* Attending to the personal needs of prisoners such as providing food, coffee, clothing, blankets andother essentials.* Maintaining cleanliness of the cells; checks cells for dangerous items and for properly operatingdoors.* Preparing forms and maintains records relevant to assigned duties.* In the absence of prisoners, performing other clerical or appropriate duties as directed.Work Location:120-55 Queens Blvd, Queens NYAdditional Information:Candidates must be permanent in the title of Police Attendant or have filed for the recent civil service exam.NOTE: This position is open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a program.
