Provide a limited range of police services.Level of Work:Experienced.Duties:Provides crowd and traffic control at special events; may be required to intervene in situations utilizing force if necessary to make an arrest, to restore order, prevent interference with normal operations or to protect person or property.Percentage Of Time 20Posting Detail InformationMinimum Experience RequiredMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:One year of experience in law enforcement work.SUBSTITUTIONS:College training will substitute for the required experience on the basis of thirty semester hours for the year of experience.NOTE:All classified jobs in State service with police officer and wildlife enforcement titles qualify as law enforcement.Jobs outside State service that will qualify as law enforcement are those performed while commissioned with the power of arrest.Military police in the armed services are law enforcement; security/guard duty is NOT qualifying.NOTE:Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.Minimum Education RequiredHigh School diploma or equivalent.Minimum Licenses Required Other Minimum RequirementsApplicants must complete the application in its entirety with an electronic signature and date.Resumes will not be accepted as a substitute for the application.If education and employment history are not completed, the application will be disqualified.
