Summary of Job Duties:

The Police Officer is certified by the State of Arkansas to enforce law and safeguard our campus community. Primary responsibilities include the following: Engage with members of the community to build positive relationships, address community issues, and promote trust and cooperation. Conduct proactive patrols in assigned areas to deter criminal activity and maintain order. Enforce traffic laws and regulations, conduct traffic enforcement and respond to accidents to ensure road safety. Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents, ensuring public safety and providing assistance as needed. Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and community organizations to address public safety concern and implement crime prevention strategies. Maintain accurate records of incidents, arrests, and activities and prepare detailed reports for documentation and analysis.

This position is governed by law enforcement standards, state and federal laws, and agency policy.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

* The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

* Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operators license

* Must be a United States Citizen

* Must be at least 20 years + 6 months of age

Per the Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training (CLEST) - Rule 1002: Every officer employed by a law enforcement agency must be a citizen of the United State of America or a Marshallese citizen and must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of hire.
