The Preston Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Salary will depend on experience, but begins at $48,800 yearly ($23.50/hour). The compensation package includes paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, PERSI retirement, and other benefits offered by the City. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, a US citizen, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants will be required to successfully pass a written test, physical POST test, background investigation, computer voice stress exam (or polygraph), drug screen, and an oral interview. POST certification is preferred, but not required. Non certified hires must become Idaho POST certified within one year of employment. Preston, Idaho is one of the best kept secrets of the West.
