Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted.* Pass a Physical Agility Test (PAT) within 30 days of hire date and annually thereafter.* This position has been designated Mission Essential . In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.* The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.* This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.* Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.* This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.* Incumbent is subject to possible civil action due to improper exercises of authority or injudicious use of force in the apprehension or detention of individuals.* The Omnibus Federal Budget Bill (Public Law 106-554) requires removal of federal law enforcement officers convicted of felonies after the law takes effect. Convictions occurred before the new law are not included.* The Omnibus Federal Budget Bill (Public Law 106-554) took effect on 20 January 2020.* Subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban (Lautenberg Amendment). This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.* The 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 covers this position. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for this position.* Incumbent is subject to removal from the position if convicted of a felony in accordance with Section 639 of P.L. 106-554 effective January 20, 2001.* One year of probationary period may be required.QualificationsWho May Apply: US CitizensIn order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.
