The primary responsibilities include ensuring the personal safety of all individuals on campus, maintaining a peaceful environment to support the University's academic mission, preventing and detecting criminal activity, and apprehending individuals involved in such activity. Additionally, Police Officers provide a wide range of services to students, faculty, staff, and the broader community. This is a full-time, non-exempt university staff position on the night shift with expected continuous employment. A one-year probationary period is required.The UW-Parkside Police Department provides 24/7 police and dispatch service to approximately 5000 students and staff on a 700-acre campus.
