Become A Peace Officer in an accelerated timeframe! The Intensive Comprehensive Police Officer Education and Training (ICPOET) grant allows non-traditional or career transition individuals who have a qualified 2-year or 4-year degree in any field to obtain training to become a Police Officer with the City of Moorhead.

Must be able to start employment at Moorhead PD by approximately January 2025.

Attend training beginning approximately March 1st through approximately July 2025 at Alexandria Technical College

* Paid housing in Alexandria, travel and meal costs are covered when school is in session through a stipend.

* Paid for attending the training up to 40 hours per week

REQUIRES:

* Possess a qualifying two- or four-year degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

* Valid driver's license

* Pass all pre-employment screenings such as oral interview, extensive background investigation, psychiatric evaluation, physical, job function test and drug test

* Agree to our Work Retention Agreement
