Under the direct supervision of the Police Chief, the Police Sergeant preserves law and order, protects life and property, and enforces law and ordinances in a manner which will always command public respect and confidence. Assists the Police Chief in directing and coordinating all activities of the Police Department. Supervises the department in the absence of the Police Chief.
