Purpose/Introduction
The Commercial Organization plays a key role in executing CPChem's strategy and business plans. Commercial coordinates with Manufacturing and Technology to develop optimal sales and operating plans, grow our asset capabilities and plan for the future. They identify and evaluate business opportunities, execute the supply chain plan, build customer and supplier relationships and work to continuously improve our offerings to provide increased value for our customers and shareholders.
Responsibilities
* Will be committed to promoting a safe working environment and iCARE principles.
* Responsible for the tactical execution of the PE commercial strategy and improvements to existing processes.
* Supervises Production Planning, Pricing Management, and Export Planning.
* Work in close cooperation with the Global Market Managers who have strategic responsibility for global product strategy.
* Monitors market conditions and adjusts department practices and objectives accordingly.
* Customer Feedback Coordination
* Sets department objectives and manages the activities of team members and other managers towards those objectives.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or another applicable major
* At least 15 years of related industry experience
* Excellent business acumen and industry understanding
* Ability to guide and influence internal resources.
* Understanding of facilities, projects, strategic goals, financing, and operations
Preferred Qualifications
* Masters of Business Administration considered a positive
* Supply chain experience
* Polymers Business Knowledge experience
* Prior management / supervisory experience
