We are seeking a dedicated professional to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional sleep medicine services.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:* Select and apply special monitoring electrodes, bands, thermistors, and other probes to appropriate areas of the patient's body.* Prepare positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fittings.* Schedule and discuss the test process with patients, ensuring their understanding and addressing any questions.* Educate physicians and patients on sleep medicine.* Follow sleep procedures to establish and document baseline values such as body position, movements, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory and heart rates.* Score sleep/wake stages and generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.* Implement appropriate interventions including continuous (CPAP) and bi-level (BIPAP) positive airway pressure and oxygen administration.* Perform procedures and therapeutic interventions such as auto servo ventilation (SV) titrations, average volume assured pressure support (AVAPS), multiple sleep latency testing (MSLT), maintenance of wakefulness testing (MWT).* Set up and score home sleep tests while monitoring study-tracing quality and eliminating artifacts during the test.* Follow wake procedures to verify data integrity and complete the data collection process.* Set up video and audio monitoring apparatus.* Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to ensure proper functioning and signals.* Maintain equipment in clean operating condition, detect instrument malfunctions, make minor adjustments, and report major repair needs.* Monitor equipment supply levels and maintain appropriate equipment at hand.* Serve as a technical resource, role model, and/or preceptor for students and staff.* Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.* Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs.Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:* Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).* Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) registration issued by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT), or* Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) certification issued by the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM), or* Registered Respiratory Therapist-Sleep Disorders Specialty (RRT-SDS) certification issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).Education Required:* Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program.Experience Required:* Typically requires 2 years of experience in a polysomnographic technician role.Job Type: ContractPay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hourBenefits:* Health insuranceSchedule:* Day shiftPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyWork Location: In person
