Job Summary

The Pool Maintenance Operator works collaboratively with Recreation and Wellness Aquatics and Service staff members to maintain pools and spas as well as provide general facility maintenance.

* Responsible for maintaining pools/spas within state and local codes, generate/maintain required logs, maintain records and reports, and oversee the daily chemical and mechanical operations

* Perform routine maintenance and custodial tasks in RecWell facilities

* Assist with inventory controls and work with department purchasing clerk for requisition of equipment and supplies

Saturday or Sunday workday may be required in the work week.

What We Are Looking For

Education and Experience:

Required:

* High school diploma/GED

* A minimum of three (3) years of experience within pool operations, pool plumbing work, or related

Skills:

Required:

* Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) license or must be willing to obtain CPO

* AFO certification license within 6 months after hire

Additional Information

* Purdue University will not sponsor employment authorization for this position

* A background check will be required for employment in this position

* FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible For Overtime)
