Job DescriptionIn this exciting role, the Regional Service and Training Manager willperform levels 2 & 3 training and establish an authorized service network within the region of responsibility for onsite service of products manufactured/sourced and sold by Raypak. This position will serve our Raypak division and cover the Eastern Region.Responsibilities
  • Establish an authorized service network within the defined region of responsibility for onsite service of product manufactured/sourced and sold by Raypak.
  • Negotiation of all labor rates for authorized service agreements within the region of responsibility
  • Monitor the quality of service being provided by authorized service agents and where necessary develop individual improvement programs for identified service agents not performing to required standards.
  • Provide ongoing technical training to areas sales representatives, customers, installers, and authorized service agents. Levels 2 & 3
  • Provide support, as needed, in addressing and resolving escalated field product performance issues
  • Provide support on major commercial product install projects ensuring proper sizing and correct installation of products used in the project.
  • Serve as liaison between the field and Raypak's Engineering/Quality department in the identification of possible performance or quality issues and gathering of information in support of the same

  • Interface with local code officials to address and work through identified code issues
  • Represent Raypak on off-site visits and/or liability investigations as required
  • Maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and property
  • This role reports to the Senior Manager - East and has dotted-line connectivity with the Training Manager and the Manager of Warranty/Technical Support
  • The defined region will be the Midwest and Northeast regions of the US.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining training records through the training department data management system
  • Ensure all activities involved follow established legislative laws and/or Company policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong technical background on applied products, such as Pool Heaters, Boilers and Water Heaters
  • Strong project management skills and a track record of success meeting deadlines
  • Strong presentation skillset
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills critical for success in this cross-functional position.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or Training related field or equivalent of 4 to 7 years of field/service or training experience
  • Ability to lift over 50-75 pounds.
  • Ability to move products up to 400 pounds.
  • Standing for up to 6-8 hours, during training classes.
How To Stand Out
  • Previous customer-facing training experience, especially with Applied Products or in the water heating or HVAC industries
  • Strong product knowledge (pool heaters, water heaters, boilers)
  • Certifications and ongoing skills development in training field
